From 6-12 May, Bakers Delight bakeries throughout New Zealand are turning pink in the hope of raising thousands for women with cancer. In this special week-long campaign, Bakers Delight bakeries will donate $1 from every pink finger bun sold to Look Good Feel Better, a free national service that supports women being treated for all types of cancer and helps them feel better by looking good.

JAZZ Apples are out! They are sweet and super crunchy, delicious. I have one as a healthy afternoon snack. I also love grating a JAZZ apple into your muesli and having it with a bit of yoghurt and milk.

Monterey is a new neighbourhood bar in Newtown, Wellington. They are loosely themed around mid-century Californian writer's retreats with vintage tyewriters, homemade style shelving, books, games and jigsaw puzzles. Sounds like my kind of place, a relaxing second home!
Find them at 4 Rintoul st, Newtown.

Last week I bought The Collective's rhubarb and apple gourmet yoghurt from the supermarket. I had it as an alternative to ice cream for dessert and I didn't feel like I was being 'good', it still felt like a treat. Yum! They also do ricotta, mascarpone, cottage cheese, cream cheese and creme fraiche.

I love a good pie and the best pies in Auckland can be found at The Fridge, The Chiller, and now The Food Room. The founder of The Fridge and The Chiller, Angelo, has opened a new shop bringing his famous pies to 250 Ponsonby Road. They are deep, delicious and full of filling.
